F.X. Randomiz founded HOLOSUD with Jo Zimmermann (Schlammpeitziger), did some remixes for e.g. Microstoria, Whirlpool Productions, Schlammpeitziger, Die Welttraumforscher and collaborates with Jan St. Werner (Mouse On Mars) as Dü. Cologne´s electronic mastermind F.X.RANDOMIZ will be back on the scene with a new album on sonig in 2005.
After the complexity of work he did for the GOFLEX album (A-MUSIK 1998) with a lot of sampling and MIDI-sequencing, the STACK 12″ represents some other kind of working. The tracks are much more “raw”, there is no MIDI and sampling at all. All the sounds were processed inside the computer, put together to a variety of loops and then arranged very quickly in just one afternoon (or maybe two). As on GOFLEX the arrangements had a certain “flow”, for the STACK 12″ F.X. Randomiz worked more with cut-up techniques and even hard changes in frequency and dynamic response. That makes it more of a “linear” and groove based work in opposite to GOFLEX.
A one man deterritorialisation commando hitting the minefield with chopped up, high energy start stop editing manouvers extratopped with catchy hooklines. Richly textured and riddled with micro bombast events. Randomiz rewrites the manual of electronic music with his left foot. Music that produces future. Things run out of time and collide with big bursts of unheard intensity. Midi and harddisc recording fuse to become one big pulsating brain of musical conceptions which reach far beyond the boundaries of styles and genres.
