The singer-songwriter Karla Wenzel aka KIKI BOHEMIA plays with the dialectics of closeness and distance. On her upcoming album „Those Are Not Songs“ (blankrecords 2023) the Berlin resident presents her own private anthems, all of them performed with disarming intimacy. Kiki Bohemia works her songs with distorted drones and psychedelic textures. It is this mixture of nonchalance and big gestures that makes her music so special.
